Anschluss Tag (German for Annexation Day) is a Mapperdonian holiday that occurs every time a mapper surpasses the mapper with the most subscribers' record to become the new mapper in 1st place on the subscriber list. There have been five Anschluss Tage so far. This could apply to both active and inactive mappers.

First Anschluss Tag (August 12, 2014)[]
The First Anschluss Tag happened when MrOwnerandPwner surpassed Demod in subscribers on August 12, 2014. Activity increased on the Mappers on the Wikia by Subscribers page in the days leading up to it. MrOwnerandPwner edited the page when he officially surpassed Demod, proclaiming "I REIGN SUPREME" in the edit summary. Not much else happened to celebrate the First Anschluss Tag.
Second Anschluss Tag (October 23, 2015)[]
The Second Anschluss Tag happened when Nick HD Mapping surpassed MrOwnerandPwner in subscribers. The Second Anschluss Tag is noteworthy for happening only a few days after MrOwnerandPwner retired from MervueMeringue style mapping, and after over a year of MrOwnerandPwner being in 1st place. The activity on the Mappers on the Wikia by Subscribers page flared in the days prior, becoming the page with the most editors (28) in the 3 days leading up to the Anschluss Tag. Nick HD Mapping became tied with MrOwnerandPwner twice on October 22, the day before the Anschluss. Nick HD officially surpassed MOAP less than 10 minutes after October 23 began.
False Anschluss Tage (June 19-28 & July 26, 2016)[]
The False Anschluss Tage (or False Annexation Days) were a series of events when Daniel Mapper got very close to surpassing Nick HD Mapping in subscribers. Despite not quite being the Third Anschluss Tag, it is listed here anyways for reference. In June 2016, Daniel Mapper started gaining more subscribers than in previous months, and he rapidly approached Nick HD in Mid-June. On June 19, right before the predicted date of the anschluss as of then, Daniel Mapper announced he was quitting mapping (like MrOwnerandPwner did just before the second Anschluss Tag), causing people to unsubscribe. He then returned to mapping on June 21, however his growth remained stunted for the next several days, delaying the anschluss far beyond the predictions made right before Daniel's quitting. Early on June 28, Daniel reached just 13 subscribers behind Nick HD. Just when the anschluss was imminent, however, a YouTube purge took 418 subscribers from Daniel, while taking only 5 subscribers from Nick HD, thus ending the False Anschluss Tage. The saga has resulted in the Third Anschluss Tag getting delayed further and further, and making Daniel Mapper unlucky. The activity on the Mappers on the Wikia by Subscribers page started to increase on June 16, 2016, and it has had 24 different users edit it in the 3 days leading up to June 19, 2016, second most to A World of War: World III, and it became the page with the most editors (15) in the 3 days before June 28. Later in July, Daniel approached Nick again, attempting the Third Anschluss Tag once more. Due to Daniel's slower subscriber growth after returning from his first quitting, he didn't regain the subscribers lost in the YouTube purge for a month afterwards. It was predicted to happen sometime from July 26, 2016 to July 29, 2016, but when Daniel Mapper officially left the community and deleted his channel on July 26, it became clear that a Third Anschluss Tag would not occur in a while.
Third Anschluss Tag (October 16, 2016)[]
The Third Anschluss Tag was when Dylansworld surpassed Nick HD Mapping in subscribers. This happened one week before the anniversary of the Second Anschluss Tag, making Nick HD Mapping fall just short of joining MrOwnerandPwner in holding first place in subscribers for a year. There was not much excitement in this Anschluss Tag, except for Asdf Mapping frequently editing the Mappers on the Wikia by Subscribers page.
Fourth Anschluss Tag (December 4, 2016)[]
The Fourth Anschluss Tag occurred December 4, 2016, less than 2 months after the Third Anschluss Tag. It was when Super LV surpassed Dylansworld in subscribers. Again, there was not much excitement for this Anschluss Tag, with only 9 editors on the page in the 3 days leading up to December 3, tying A World of War: World 7 The Great Depression for most editors then.
False Anschluss Tag (January 22, 2017)[]
A youtuber by the name of Golden Gaming/Mapping, a gaming channel who has 13,000 subs prior to becoming a mapper, started to make mapping videos. Because of this, he instantly surpassed Super LV in becoming the most subscribed mapper. This spawned some debate with several mappers calling for him to create a new Youtube Channel dedicated to mapping. This also spawned the question about mappers with existing subs becoming new mappers and whether it should count or not. This would confuse things if not while it would be a bit unfair if so. He then decided to make a new channel for his mapping videos.
Fifth Anschluss Tag (February 24, 2017)[]
The Fifth Anschluss Tag occurred on February 24, 2017, when Romanian Mapper surpassed Super LV in subscribers. It was thought by Monsoonjr99 right after the Fourth Anschluss Tag that there wouldn't be another Anschluss for a while, but then Romanian Mapper started rapidly climbing in subscriber count, doubling his subscribers in just over a month. This Anschluss was one of the most controversial in the history of the Anschluss due to the fact that many believe Romanian Mapper had been sub-botting as well as regularly backstabbing people and saying homophobic slurs.
Sixth Anschluss Tag (November 25, 2018) []
The sixth Anschluss tag happened on November 25, 2018, Bace Bulgarian Mapper quietly surpassed the amount of subscribers of Romanian Mapping, once again active. Romanian Mapping held the #1 spot for about a year and a half.
Seventh Anschluss Tag (March 29, 2020) []
The seventh Anschluss tag happened on March 29, 2020, Gylala quietly surpassed the amount of subscribers of Bace Bulgarian Mapper. Bace Bulgarian Mapper had held the spot for the longest. This was however, controversial, as the community debated whether Gylala should be a mapper or not despite regularly making mapping videos. This was also held off due to various controversies behind Gylala's personal actions. It would not be until over a year later that Gylala is added to the list on this wiki. Though, he is acknowledged in some shape or form in the Mapping Wiki.
