Cythriuses are the creatures were made by Ethan. They were actually vampires but in monstrous version of them. It was few believed that they are aliens. What it was originated is unknown, still there were claims in Egypt, but it remains unknown. But with a quarter vampire, quarter zombie and the half as their own genes makes up a cythrius. It's little, half or almost realistic, sort of, apart from its wings.

Virology (The Cythriusian Disease)

Transmission and Replication

It's unknown that the virus may have been spread by vampire bats about 6000 BCE. But started when the mysterious virus has been living in the distant past. And returned after discoveries of burial. It led the infection in the fertile Nile and around the Mesopotamian areas.

But anyway, the replication can be done by its own saliva, since some cythriuses have hyper salivation while transforming itself, when it becomes transformed, they usually come through the glands.

The vampire bat is also a sign of danger, sometime they carry the virus onto humans rarely. But they can suck the blood out and also brings the virus also, it can replicate quickly after the bite.

What the virus is was adapted to blood and fluid, making it vunlerable to the body's blood and its water. It is also to known by surviving in water, but the chances are still small to survive into this type. Not even filtered water can stop this as it has a very small chances on 5%.

The virus can also get bitten by a cythrius exchange by the virus. Which is always common for all cythriuses.

The Blood Cells

I mean Red Blood Cells.

The red blood cells can be change rapidly from the virus. Allowing the modification of the blood to the way the virus is going to replace it. Since there are over 25 trillion or more red blood cells and the virus can destroy 4.5 million blood cells and replacing it, might have been taking about three to four months. And hemoglobins are reduced at 20% or more.

Locks

The virus may have 200 keys to make the replacement, its diameter is about 20 micrometres or more. Trying to infect all cells it needs.

Symptoms

All of the viruses can rewrite the genetic DNA and then transform the infected into one. But few symptoms will appear also, but some gets more severe symptoms.

During the first progress of transforming, the water is using up much making dehydration for the host. A hot body temperature makes a small sign of Hyperthermia but commonly the fever. Small chills, finger movement loss and finally a temporary insomnia.

The second progress becomes more scarier as the body temperature just rapidly falls to something about 23.5 degrees Celsius, just as the heart stops beating forever, it means that death is common at this stage. There is about 40% chance of the person surviving the death.

When the third stage is done, the 60% gets buried and while 40% comes out alive, they usually change into a cythrius, about 3-4 hours, it becomes the interest of finding thirst. So many of them can become dormant from the virus until the bite is exchanged for the virus. While the buried cythriuses, there is 60% chance for them to strike out of their own coffins and rise for thirst if it fails, its blood decays slowly until it dies out. The reanimation happens after 2 hours of burial. But much of the physiological appearance has changed, after five days of transformation, the newborn cythrius grows bat-like wings. They feel mindless for a few hours without knowledge but after this they have an enhanced intelligence.

They also have hyperosmia so they can smell further away and the nose of a cythrius detects blood nearby.

While the rare ones, some may have these conditions at 10%. The hyper salivation may occur, causing extra production and possibly infect few people near with that virus. The ears may be effecting by dryness. Skin infection may include some inch and dryness and also sweating. Sometime, inflammation on the throat, coughing.

There's 1.5% chance on cythriuses to have photophobia. It can be caused but they are more active at night.

Dizziness can happen to this, feeling tired and confused also been a sign.

All cythriuses have the echopraxia only during infection, they move similar to the cythrius horde leader's movement, allowing the horde members to mimic the horde leader's movement.

History (The Cythriusian Mythologies)

I can't make the gaps, so I used few events as eras and fill the year gaps.

Origins and Evolution

The virus may be unknown, the first viruses (not this one) may have came back about the Late Triassic or the Paleogene Period (Early Tertiary). But much estimates may have came from the Neolithic times in the East Mediterrean sea.

Biology (The Cythriusian Appearances)

Photosensitivity

A cythrius at the first stage of infection has the exposure of the sunlight. But when they finally reach the third stage, a cythrius in the morning or afternoon is exposed because of the UV light. Which they are sensitive from the UV light, most of the cythriuses are more active at night than the day. Even a cythrius uses its wings against the sunlight cannot block it because it can still expose them, some do not have the exposure so they can infect them during the day and the night, but once a cythrius without the exposure to the prey is infected they also do not have the exposure. About 35% of the total cythriuses have not exposed to the UV light.

If a cythrius stayed in the sunlight for too long for about one or more hours, burns will happen and will have serious damage to their skin, the regeneration of the skin takes about five months to recover it. Rarely, a cythrius can suffer vitiligo which caused by the sunlight exposure and allergies in a reaction or sort of.

Some do not suffer the sunlight, 35% of the cythriuses are not exposed to the sunlight and the UV light, allowing to be active at the light more often than night as most people sleep. A cythrius with exposure to the sunlight must wait until the sun is covered, about 8 oktas should do it.

Decaying

Without blood feeding for a long period, they decay their blood without feeding, for a few days they can possibly die before into the hibernation state which is only used for severely decayed cythriuses who have the 80% of the blood all decayed, once a cythrius in hiberation, they don't move until a prey of a cythrius nearby can smell it allows a cythrius to wake up and kill the prey and allows to refill their decayed blood and goes out and find more preys to infect.

After death, the decay is slower, the flesh of the cythrius will last until a year after its death. A zombie decay takes about a day or two, some animals decay from a week or more.

Vocalisation

A cythrius can still have to speak but sometimes cythriuses have to moan and hiss at the prey, the prey does not hear any cythriusian voice more often as they just moan and hiss at them. Their voice is kept secret until they do not see any prey, which they speak more unless hissing for anger against one of the cythriuses or any kind, the prey hiss allows them to remove the prey's consciousness for a short period of time and show their true sound and their superiority. While moaning helps the attraction to the cythrius horde and also towards preys.

The horde leader hiss should be more specified than the other cythriuses, while many has their own hissing dialects, from each other. Depending on their voice before their bite from a cythrius. And many has its own unique hissing sound so they can mark their own name without talking or taking the prey and any kind, their hissing is almost all different while the time is the same to the horde leaders and also the activity. As well as the emotion and their death, their final hiss of death can be their last hiss in their life forever, some recorded its hissing to analyse the cythrius' information.

Some cythriuses can talk to the preys and usually deceiving or any cythrius activity or sometimes talk for about half hour or about two hours to them and then they bite them.

The cythriusian vocal folds are been also affected, as their shout becomes the hardest to speak for, only about low to average voice of a cythrius can be used. Their speech becomes quieter over 45 decades as their voice is adapting to hissing, allowing the cythriuses talk in a small to moderate voice of it. But the males have a slight higher pitch over two decades and females are the same.

Sight

The sight is enhanced, including ones that were born short sighted. The eyes are now perfect for the night vision, as few does not modify its sight to expose the sunlight, the eye's iris becomes hyperdilated and reddish. Their eyes will be wide for the few. The eyes are also glow without the night, dark ones that are reddish.

Hearing

A cythrius can hear at over 50,000 Hz. And will slowly lowers down if the fluid decays slowly. But however the hearing of a cythrius is sensitive to louder sounds. The cartilage of the ear helix may have been slowly shrinks itself, as the capacity of the hearing becomes hard for old cythriuses at over 400 years after their bite.

But I think of the cythriuses are sensitive to gunshots, air horns and any loud sounds.

Teeth

When after the transformation, a rapid growth of the canine teeth grows, which is used for feeding the prey's blood. The fluid loss can result longer teeth than the biting, but the cythrius never noticed their teeth changes yellowish because of the lack of cleaning. A small part of the cythrius teeth helps the prey's blood to be fed by a cythrius. Their teeth can be regenerated through but they will be thinner and more difficult to feed into the prey, as well a cythrius taking out their teeth and still regenerates.

Their teeth is also have little grooves to suck the prey's blood. Each cythrius bite mark is similar to each other's, longer ones are deeper.

Skin

Their skin is usually blue or the ethnicity depends on the colour. But their skin is always blue, fat and water loss can result to reveal their own veins. But the warm temperatures and all of the activities in that area will be appear less blue.

As the thin skin layer ones are affected first then after hours it will turn into sometime blue but white or grey if in a warmer area. The newborn cythrius is sickly yellow.

Taste

A cythrius tastes the prey's blood stronger, the cythrius takes up the blood type and the taste buds of the cythrius is more of tasting the blood and flesh. The gums are darkened to purple and the tongue is more deeper purple, their tongue also gives the sense of smell as we'll see the smell section, its tongue can be longer than an average human tongue length. Very few cythriuses have its tongue down for thirst.

But with the cythrius, they can eat only meat and also blood. But the human flesh gives nutrients to that cythrius to avoid its decay slowly.

The cythrius can know the prey's identity of the gender, blood type and age only, the more the cythrius drinks the prey's blood a few more, the more that he'll know his appearance and status of been a cythrius.

Smell

Its smell can be heightened after thinning the nasal, some cythriuses sniff the air like wolves while the tongue is now not known for its taste and also the smell. Their tongue can find any human blood or flesh nearby, allowing it to find it immediately, many of them used the tongue while some are limited to its nose, their tongue is longer than the average human tongue, so its tongue is also useful for the human blood taste before biting it to drink the prey's blood.

Nails

The nails are actually long, as they are been growing longer after its transformation. A cythrius keeps the nails about 1.5-2 cm while the horde leaders are about 2-3.5 cm, the heir of the horde, servants of the horde leaders can only have about 1.75-2.5 cm, it takes about two to three months to grow their fingernails into their average length, while it takes three to six months for their toenails as it grows slower than its fingernails.

The horde leaders can grow their nails more longer than the average cythriuses. Waiting for them for a longer period than them, only very few horde leaders have more than 3.5cm, without cutting its own claws/nails, it can grow about 7.5-8.5cm in length in a year after the transformation.

The newborn cythriuses only has about 0.15-0.75cm in length.

The nails of the cythriuses are their own claws, usually used for nothing, including cutting the objects, prey does not include. Just only few can use their claws useful.

Hair

While the older versions of the cythrius lose their hair quickly after a few hours or so, the new version of the cythrius has hair still but a bit bloody tone from the original colour. The bloody tone is red, human blood coloured red or any other types of red is appeared in some. Note that it covers only 5% of the hair that becomes bloody-coloured, their hair colour remains the same but a bit redder than their living form.

Over centuries about ten centuries or later after the cythrius bites him, the hair loses its hair strings, as years goes by the hair loses slowly until at twelve to thirteen centuries after the cythrius bite him, the hair is lost entirely making himself bald, the eyelashes, hair from arms, legs are affected as well. And it is completely gone for good.

For the bald cythriuses they usually used wigs, beards, mustaches to cover themselves.

The hair growth is slowed after transformation, and takes about 0.10cm per year to grow and it'll slow down as the cythrius 'ages' itself. The female cythrius is longer than the average human hair length.

Wings

Usually the wings of a cythrius are the symbol of a cythrius. Their wings are bat-like, the wings grow overtime when they are maturing, the wings grow about 0.25cm per year as it gets older, the newborn cythriuses will start growing its wings after about two weeks. The oldest cythriuses (about 500-800 years and older) has the largest wings of them all, spanning about 2.5-6m in the length, usually they can get into the united council of all cythriusian hordes and also hunt preys at the same time.

The new cythriuses rapidly grows its wings at 30 cm and slows down afterwards. Their wing colour is almost every colour in the world, orange, blue, green and lots. Most cythriuses' wings are ranged from brown, dark brown, black and sometimes red. Sometimes, they camouflaged their wings in a same colour so they cannot be spotted.

It's easily spotted on disguised cythriuses, as its wings are easily spotted by the hunters. The new wings cannot be spotted very far away, the more bigger they are, the higher chance from a far location will be spotted.

Muscles

The muscles are actually fast-twitched. The starving cythriuses will lose the water much quicker, as well the connected tissue, but the starving cythriuses can lead to a possible death when they decay too much over months without feeding. As well as less lactic acid buildup which can destroy higher brain processors and the personality which causes death if there's too much.

Skeletal System

The skeleton and skin after transformation is harden later months. The cythrius' spine is longer so its height grows at 1 inch taller. The shorter the cythrius are, the longer they'll grow, as they require to get taller and easy to reach the prey's neck.

After wings were formed, it adds the wing skeleton, and also they are lighter after infection they can fly more easily, the bird must be light or otherwise they are flightless. The cythrius will have the wings kept forever, if the wings are damaged, the wings slowly regenerates itself, replacing with a new one.

Cutting the wings including its skeleton at its whole will no longer regenerate as it takes too long to redevelop.

Saliva

The cythriusian saliva is occupied from 70% blood and 30% water. The bloody saliva may have came from the blood been swallowed allowing to create that saliva type. With the GI tract, the blood can be digested and allowing few blood remains becomes part of their blood. The saliva is required to infect the prey and become one.

The hyper salivation may create more saliva of a cythrius giving a higher chance for the prey remained and become a cythrius shorter. The saliva contains the virus replicating in it. A few cythriuses spit at the prey without biting it and bringing the saliva.

Weight

To take the capable of flight, they must be not heavy, after infection the weight loss is at 17/20 of its weight. Allowing a cythrius to take its wings to be more better performed but the overweight ones are tricky for them. As a cythrius with overweight or obesity problems, they are taking the flight a bit difficult, after the wings grow, they tried to use it but failed. With the extra pounds, it's difficult for them to fly and they have to wait until their weight loses through a decade or more.

Heart

The cythrius does not the heart been produce blood but from the prey's blood or the skeleton muscles. As the heart is the weakness to the legend but nothing happened as it's not fatal. The blood production is slow so it takes about many years to produce about 2-3 litres of the blood. Unless they used the victim's blood and mixed them together.

Body Temperature

A cythrius does not produce heat, but why bats used their cold wings to heat themselves up in their body? But let's get on, the cythrius has a body temperature of a cold-blooded species such as reptiles, amphibians, fishes and insects, all of that stuff. Their body temperature is average about 22.5 degrees Celsius (72.5 degrees Fahrenheit), the hottest ones are about 35 degrees Celsius, closer to the normal human body temperature which is about 37 degrees.

They can't produce heat but some can heat themselves but they can survive in hot areas, cold areas can shiver so a cythrius is more adapted to the heat than the cold. Simply about 30 degrees Celsius is pretty uncomfortable for a cythrius then around 35.5 degrees Celsius, it may just exposed to death and therefore uncomfortable, if a cythrius still survives that temperature then about 37.5 degrees Celsius, its chance is high and will die.

The northern hemisphere cythriuses are capable of having anti-freezing proteins. Allowing to survive the cold at its normal body temperature, but the temperature at the death is increased somewhere to 36.5-38.5 degrees Celsius, when it's exposed to that temperature, they die.

Hibernation

As a cythrius starves and the blood is decaying, they may hibernate for a short period. The longest average cythrius hibernation is at 5.5 years. They are not like Earth animals hibernating in winters but they can hibernate for a short period or more. While the longest cythrius is dormant for about 115 years, meaning that that cythrius has been fed well much after.

The longer a cythrius sleep, they will get drier and slowly decays itself. For more on waking up, see the Decaying section.

Aging

A cythrius never ages. While some cythriuses are about 800 years old to 1400 years old, there is no natural deaths recorded on a cythrius, ever. Their lifespan is unknown, since the oldest cythrius are about 2350 years old, it may be unknown, as it died on the Late 20th Century, with no clue what is the life span is known yet.

But the DNA of it has the resistance of aging itself.

Lifecycle (The Cythriusian Age)

Egg (zero years)

This is a non-infection way. Simply that the infected will be like 50 years old, with traits.

Many queen cythriuses have the ability of reproduce, which is why the cythriusian babies were born dead inside the eggs, each egg consisted of over 40 dead babies. Possibly larger than a litter from an animal. This is without being born inside the female cythrius, from few months the dead babies develop their formation of the wings, as well as its human form. Once it's done, it slowly reanimated itself the cythriuses comes out from its egg, many years later, if the cythriusian babies survived, at least 1/4 hatched babies survive, they develop into their human body. There are only 1,300 cythriusian queens in the world in the secret lairs.

Cartchern (zero years to 10 years)

The meaning of cartchern in cythriusian means "formation". The cythriusian babies needs to form their human bodies, their body is similar to the bats. When the babies need to drink blood from the female cythriuses, they do not mind, they cannot hunt yet until they are mature enough. It's possible that the cartchern can learn their education quickly than any human can. The cartchern has the ability to fly, but in the early stages they must take the flight and has hard learning, many cartchern die before they were mature, about 1/4.

Carfiltarlon (10 years to 15 years)

Carfiltarlon in cythriusian means "mature". After the cartchern survived the death, they can now survive by their own, they can't hunt as their fangs are growing still, as their human form becomes more finished, they began to drink human blood a little and also flesh. This stage makes the way to create that cartchern's gender, there is 49.50% and 49.50% of been male and female. But the 1% is the queen. When it finishes their form is finished after the carfiltarlon stage as well their organs, hair and the personality. The cartcherns and carfiltarlons having a human personality and a cythrius personality.

Deilphar (15 years to 50 years)

Deilphar in cythriusian means "development". As the deilphar has fangs grown now, their hissing is now more separate and unique to any other cythrius in the world. But their human form stop developing at 30 years after the hatch. They are capable to hunt and drink human blood more and also their flesh, but can't form hordes at below 40 years as they are still developing their moan. But after, they are able to form a horde and use the moan to attract the cythriuses nearby.

Artrich (50 years to 200 years)

I'm not going to post any translation on cythriusian now. The artrich are adapted to beyond human lifespans from 70, because of DNA. The artrich is an adult cythrius. If a cythrius survived longer than this, then they'll reach into a complex place. But now that almost all of cythriuses never reached beyond the artrich stage, due to hunters having complex technology against them. In 1400 CE, it was 100 years, then at 1750, it becomes 50 years, then 1825, it is now 25 years then again in 1890, it becomes 10 years, then 1920, it is 5 years, 1955, 2 years and now 2005, 1 year.

Imperaijaruilich (200 years to 500 years)

The cythriuses at this stage has the wings more larger, their claws are longer as proteins are more used at that stage. They will join the council at this stage and later as it only allows old cythriuses, they have a high chance of not getting into the later stages.

Archarchatikaich (500 years to 1200 years)

Older cythriuses can lose hair at the late stage, allowing to leave the council more likely unless a reason. Their wings get larger that spanned over 3.5 or more metres. There is a higher chance of not going into the later stages, which will be the last or second last.

Ikariklatch (1200 years to 2250 years)

The cythriuses at this stage is pretty hard to get here, it stops at 2250 years because of the record of the longest cythrius has ever lived, no cythrius has gone beyond this stage.

Unarsich (2250 years and beyond)

Unknown, no cythrius came at this stage. Some believed that they will naturally die at this stage after few centuries and more if they survived forever.

Feeding (The Cythriusian Prey)

Most of the cythriuses suck blood from their prey, while some prefer to eat flesh from the prey. A cythrius is a carnivore (and a bloodthirsty creature), which they can eat the flesh what they prefer to eat, but the prey remains infected after the bite and its saliva remains when the cythrius abandons their prey once their saliva is at 5 mL or 20 mL if a cythrius has the hyper salivation on their prey which they can turn into a cythrius more quicker and moves to another prey because a cythrius is attracted to the movement.

Their diet on cythriuses can drink blood for the whole life to replenish their blood as the heart cannot produce anything and nor the skeleton. While some eat flesh from the prey and a chance of death at 5% chance. The cythrius eats flesh to create partial fat and water, while a cythrius drinking blood can digest the blood or filling up the decayed blood as a replacement. But a cythrius drinking too much blood exceeding the limit (10 litres) can make the cythrius sick. But still they are continuously thirsty and hungry.

A cythriusian grip is usually strengthened to preys making the prey almost impossible for the escape from it, when it's done, the prey usually strengthens the grip as well the changes when they are reanimated.

But some can consume one prey by two or more making the infection more stronger to the prey and becomes a cythrius about 2 minutes to 5 hours depending the amount of the cythriuses, about ten can lead 2 minutes of transformation and 2.5 hours of the wings to grow. The cythriusian saliva can replicate the virus and leaves the prey infected and turns into a cythrius after a day.
