The flag contains a Blue background with a yellow Cross and a White Rose in the foreground. The Blue-Yellow background is the flag of Anglo-Saxon Mercia and the White Rose is the main symbol of the house of York.
Jorvia's history starts after it declared independence from the United Kingdom. With the UK's power declining due to the rise of the United Federation of Europe, the UK declared war. Guess who won?
Population and Demographics
Jorvía's biggest people group is British with around 72 million, followed by 8 million Dutch, 7 million Danes, 4 million Irish, 3 million Norwegians and 2 million Icelandics. The other 1 million are immigrants, mostly from the Middle East, Pakistan, India and North Africa.
The main linguistic groups of Jorvía are separated into different groups:
- Jorvík Jorvíks
- Mercian Jorvíks
- Welsh Jorvíks
- Cornish Jorvíks
- Scottish Jorvíks
- Faroe Jorvíks
- Irish Jorvíks
- Shetland Jorvíks
- Icelandic Jorvíks
- Channel Jorvíks
- Breton Jorvíks
- Dutch Jorvíks
- Danish Jorvíks
- Norwegian Jorvíks
Jorvía controls most of the British Isles, Iceland, Southern Norway, Denmark, Brittany and northern Netherlands. This large authority over the North Sea gives Jorvía the largest supply of the North Sea's oil reserves. These Oil reserves are sold off around the world, making Jorvía a very rich nation.
Leeds is the capital and largest city in all of Jorvía with a population of 9 million people and is the second biggest city on the British Isles, after London.
After independence, some hyper-nationalist Jorvíks decided to scrap the English language entirely as it was a sign of past British rule. While not official, Jorvían is used by over 3 million people, mainly living around East Yorkshire, Southwest Norway and Aberdeenshire.
