Kazakhstan, officially the Republic of Kazakhstan is a semi-landlocked country in Central Asia and has little parts of its land in Europe. It has borders with Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan, its national anthem is 'My Kazakhstan', it's official language is Kazakh, which uses Cyrillic normally. Its capital is Astana while its largest city is Almaty, it was once part of the Soviet Union and gained its independence in 1991. Its the 9th largest country in the world and is currently planing to make its economy better in 2030.
History[]
11th century to 19th century[]
The Cumans and other nomadic tribes originally were in modern day Kazakhstan and they later joined with Kipchack. The Silk Road passed throu Kazakhstan and it connected Europe and Asia, later the Mongol Empire attacked nomadic tribes in Kazakhstan making them part of the empire.
There were many khanates in Kazakhstan, such as the Khiva Khanate. The emergent Kazakh Khanate (Qazaq Khanate) existed from the 13th century to the 17th century. The Khanate wold rule most of Cumania and all of modern Kazakhstan.
Russian Empire[]
Russia had expanded its influence to Central Asia and took over all of Central Asia which includes Modern Kazakhstan. In the 19th century there was a revolt where Kazakhs killed most of the Cossacks and Russians entering Kazakhstan.
