Introduction[]
The Pan American Union is a federation within the Mappercraft Server . During EW5, the world in which it was created, it became the 3rd super power, which turned the tide of the Starym Araga War/WW2. It is known for iconic structures like the Rockford Sign, Palais de Pomray, Space Needle, and Columbia Tower. It is the successor to Hyprion and the City State of La Rochelle.
History[]
The Founding (Late EW4)[]
Lapania was weakened after Jay's War. The Aragans controlled {the City State of} La Rochelle, and the Starymglians controlled Harvolica, which at the time was called Zeattle. Naval Leader Dan, former king of La Rochelle, and former leader of Hyprion (Vardanya's Predecessor), KKAP made the plan that by EW5 they would found their nations as independent kingdoms, and then unite.
The Lost Era (Early EW5)[]
Upon the founding of this new federation, it faced many troubles. The new Lapanian Kingdom, renamed to Americana-Latina, posed a serious threat. Not to mention, the PAU had both La Rochelle and Harvolica as the capital. The nation needed a central capital that could also be a major hub. The land west of the Appalachian/Allegheny Mountains was picked. Close to both Lake Erie and the Mississippi. The city there was named, Portola. Not much is known of the PAU at this time. Most of this time was devoted to the building of Portola, and cementing claims on the Palomino Mountains and Great Plains. Many foreigners criticized the PAU for overextending, which was true to an extent. They claimed lots of the Northern Rockies, which were heavily underpopulated.
Columbia's Era (Mid EW5)[]
In the middle of the 4th Earth World Revival; the PAU's economy started boosting, and the population increased. Many citizens had a high regard for the military, and the nation's lust for war increased. This came to a breaking point, when the Kingdom of Carolina declared war on the nation of Amazonas, in Brazil. The Pan American Union joined the side of Carolina, and helped destroy Amazonas. Late, the Kingdom of Carolina joined the Union, becoming the 6th state. A citizen of Portola was then later kidnapped by the leader of Algiers. The American Federation later declared war on the city state, hiring mercenaries to help blow up the Algerian King's Palace. Also, in the beginning of Columbia's Era, Lapania's successor, Americana Latina, joined the Pan American Union, due to the growing hatred against it and their leader. Columbia's era came to an end on Christmas 2016 (OTL), when the Stock Market went into a freefall and the federal reserve was lost.
The Second World War (Late EW5)[]
Tensions in Europe were rising rapidly in the new year, (OTL) 2017. Europe was split down the middle by the Aragan Union and Starymglian Empire, and the Starymglians and Pan American Union agreed to an alliance. However, King Daniel signed a secret pact with the Aragan Union. When war broke out between the two European superpowers, the plan was to fight on Starym's side before switching sides and helping the Aragans win. However, once the war broke out, a military adviser within the Union advising against this, citing that the Starymglians are always one to hold grudges, and with the defeat of Starym would start guerrilla warfare in Southern Europe. King Daniel, wanting not to create anarchy overseas, decided to stay of Starym side, even though he held back the troops from landing in Europe.
The American Renaissance (Early EW6)[]
In the beginning of EW6, many new players joined the PAU, and the borders expanded south and north. The capital, Portola, and many other major cities like La Rochelle, and new frontier cities like Marin, Malatia, and Chaparral flourished. King Dan, who wanted to give the people more power, decided to make the nation a constitutional republic. A constitution was written, giving many rights to the people, and giving them a democratically elected spot. The Presidency. The first president, KKAP was picked by the King, as a buffer until the real election in (OTL) May 21st. Governor of San Andreas, TMG, won the presidency in a close race to Governor of Allegheny, Fiyu. TMG later picked a cabinet of people to help serve him, most notably Former Governor of Palomino, Solace, as Secretary of State. Solace would later go on to patch up relations, and help the new citizens overall. Near the end of the Renaissance, the King, President, and Secretary of State all agreed that the nation should be split in two, to prevent over extension. So, as a result, the Meridian Confederation was born in the southern 5 states, with the brother of the President, Libe, being Viceroy. All citizens of the new Meridia had the same rights as their northern brethren, and could still vote for President.

There are 15 states within the Pan American Union, all but Alta, which is owned by the King, is given a seat in the Senate.
Allegheny[]
One of the 5 original states, Allegheny's capital, La Rochelle, is the oldest city in the nation, dating back to EW3. Allegheny was named after the Kingdom of Allegheny, which the Underwood Royal family's ancestors, House Dewbauchee, ruled over. Allegheny is a big tourist location, and the second biggest economy in the nation, behind Alta.
Alta[]
Alta was one of the original 5 states, and home to the capital Portola (Which is sometimes referred to as the Federal District). It has the biggest economy, and is the biggest tourist destination. It is home to sights such as the Rockford Sign in the Rockford Hills, and the picturesque countryside towns like Meidicno, minutes away from Portola. Alta is considered the core of the PAU.
Santee[]
Santee is a nation on the eastern seaboard of the PAU, and has a deep Aragan history. Like its sister Allegheny, they were both Aragan and were both independent. Santee was annexed under a law called "Imperial Autonomy" which means that if the federation proves detrimental to Santee, they may leave. Santee is the only state in the Federation with such power. Their state capital, Sumter, is not only a major port but a major defense fort.
Grenada (Meridia)[]
Grenada is a relatively new state in the union, first as a colony in late EW5 and then finally a state before the beginning of the Meridian Confederation. The capital, Alameda Island, is very tropical, and the largest city within the state, Marin, is the capital of Meridia and a huge Caribbean port.
Hiverland[]
Hiverland is a moderately new state, and is the northernmost of the 13. It encompasses modern day Newfoundland and the Arcadia region of Canada. The population is quite quiet, and as a result, Hiverland isn't very well known.
Lapania[]
Lapania is a relatively old state, which was inherited by the Underwood family when King Mat of Americana Latina died. It was largely ignored in Portola, as many players, American and International, have a hatred for Lapania. The former state capital, Havana, was flooded, so then the capital was moved to Imperio Del Sur. Recently, Havana has been going under rebuilding projects and is no longer flooded, and the population exploded with Aragan and Starymglian immigrants.
Malatia (Meridia)[]
Malatia is the southernmost of the 13 states, and stretches from Panama to Peru. The capital, Lomado, is the 3rd biggest port city on the pacific, and is a military base.
Natal (Meridia)[]
Natal is a state in Meridia that is based around the Amazon River. The capital, Barcelos, is extremely isolated.
Palomino[]
Palomino was one of the original 5, and is the largest state of the 15. The capital, Bonneville, is located on Lake Sierra and is surrounded by all sides by the Palomino Mountains. Palomino has a varied landscape of both mountains, valleys, plateaus, and plains.
San Andreas[]
San Andreas is a pacific state of the P.A.U, with its capital being in the Hyprionic Range of Modern-Day California.

Yankton is the newest state, as it was created out of the area between Alta and Palomino state. It is mainly farmland, with the capital, Staunton, being one of the most picturesque places in the nation with its rolling hills and cottages.
Politics[]
Political parties aren't very popular within the daily life of an American, but usually the week of the Presidential election, the nations become divided. There are 3 major parties: The Inuctus, Priorus, and Aduenam.
The Major Parties[]
The Inuctus Party[]
The Inuctus Party was one of the first political parties within the Pan American Union, created by the Royal family to spread their ideas of democracy across the new nation. Both of those factors have lead to it being called the Royal Ol' Party or "ROP" for short. The Inuctus' views are very nationalistic, believing in a big military, yet also at the same time many personal freedoms for the people. The only freedom they do restrict is building, with many of the ROP leaders being master architects. Fiyu was the Inuctus' Party candidate in the first presidential election, coming in 3rd. TMG would win under the Inuctus banner the next election, becoming Second President of the Pan American Union. The Inuctus Party is extremely popular within the East Coast and Midwest States.
The Priorus Party[]
The Priorus Party is socially liberal, economically conservative, and non-interventionist. The party founder, First President KKAP, created the party to preserve Vardanyan culture, and to balance out the influence of La Rochelle and the Inuctus Party. The Priorus Party's head, KKAP, would go on to win the first Presidential election of the Pan American Union. The party after the election, was plagued with inactivity, and even though still having members, it let the Inuctus and Aduenam have more power. The Priorus Party is extremely popular in the Northwestern States.
The Aduenam Party[]
The Aduenam Party is socially liberal, and authoritarian. The head of the party is Malatian Governor Starro, who was Secretary of State before being fired on charges of treason. Their party came in 2nd in the first presidential election when Starro ran, and came in 3rd in the second presidential election when Governor of Sonora, Falcon ran. After the creation of Meridia however, the new vassal would become largely influenced by the Aduenam Party, with Starro being a massive figure south of the border. The Aduenam Party is extremely popular in the Southern States. Mat holds the nomination of the party's candidate for the third Presidential election.

The Monarchist party is exactly what the name says; its all for the absolute rule of House Underwood. Their motto is "One Nation, Underwood".
The Allegheny Order[]
The Allegheny Order is a fascist party that believes in the Rochelais master race, citing that La Rochelle should be the capital, and Lapanians, Starymglians, Vinns, and other ethnic groups in the PAU should be enslaved.
The American Workers Party[]
Usually used as a punchline between major party heads, the American Workers Party is communist, and their goals are to unite the world under communism. This brand of communism was brought across the Atlantic by Canuck, a player from Storckberg, Araga.
