Mapperverse was a community on google+, originally The Mappers University of Arts at its launch. It was the largest community for mappers on the internet at its hight with over 1,200 members. The community was originally called The Mappers University of Arts, and was supposed to teach non mappers how to do mapping, but as the community grew larger it moved further away from its original premise and was thus renamed to Mapperverse and all teaching became banned. Mapperverse was the most influential community in Mapperdonian history at its time being the leader of The Google+ Cooperation Agreement.

History

The community was formed by BlueCon Mapping, Sapphire Mapping, and CheezeWafflz Mapping, wanting to make a community to help small mappers grow and teach people wanting to do mapping how to do mapping. The community was made on March 10, 2017.

Mappers Royal

Mapperverse was originally designed to teach but moved further away from this goal as time went on and even classes were gotten rid of. Mapperverse had become like TMC and TFOE. On August 6, 2017 BlueCon Mapping decided that the Mapperverse would no longer be a university and banned all forms of teaching and renamed the community to Mappers Royal. Members of Mapperverse were outraged by this and protested the change and spammed the community asking Sapphire Mapping to change the community back. Cheezewafflz then changed the community name back on August 9, 2017.

Mapperverse

Still wanting to rename the community, but this time being able to have the support of the members, BlueCon Mapping had a democratic vote and it led to The Mappers University of Arts being renamed to Mapperverse.

Discord and Google+ troll attacks

Through late September a troll attacked many mapping discord servers and many Google+ communities. Mapperverse was not spared. The troll pretended to be popular mappers to try and become a moderator on September 26, 2017. After being denied he went on to spam the community then report it, and Mapperverse was almost taken down by Google+. The troll showed up again the next day and continued to spam the community. The troll also claimed he was Arcy (It is unknown if this is true). The troll hasn't launched another raid since September 28, 2017, although he did make alts sometimes. The aftermath of these attacks led to the creation of the ELM system and the administration getting more power. Many users called it the Mapperverse 9/11.

BlueCon Leaving

Mapperverse was shocked on November 11, 2017, when the creator of the community, BlueCon Mapping left stating: "I have separated myself from the Mapperverse, I am no longer affiliated with them." For a few days following the members of the community panicked, spammed, and said the community was dying until Sapphire Mapping stepped in and gave himself more power to fill the power gap left from BlueCon leaving.

The Mappers Marine Corps Conflict

The Mappers Marine Corps (MMC) caused lots of drama with the Bat Mapping Community (BMC). Mapperverse defended BMC in the drama and would go on to defeat the MMC and have them replaced with a new community under their influence.

Unification with The Mapping Union

On November 21, 2017, the communities decided to unite and recreate The Mapping Community to centralize the google+ communities and stop all the conflicts on google+.

The Google+ Cooperation Agreement

The owner of Mapperverse, Cheezewafflz Mapping wanted Mappervese to use the influence to stop all the drama and conflicts on google+. As a result The Google+ Cooperation Agreement (GCA) was made. The GCA was started after The Mapping Community was deleted. To keep google+ stable the successor of The Mapping Community (The Mapping Union) and Mapperverse made an agreement that they would work together and try to stop conflicts on google+. On October 15, 2017, Platine and Cheezewafflz made a treaty and let other communities of mappers join. GCA has 6 communities that are part of it and together the 6 communities have over 2,200 members, nearly double that of Mapperverse itself. Mappervese being the creator and leader of this pact made them the most influential community in Mapperdonian history.

This pact is an agreement between multiple google plus communities with the aim to lessen the unnecessary conflicts and bickering between different communities.

Note:

-Articles with a * are more important than others.

-Please go to the second page down below to see what communities are in this pact and how to join.

*Article 1- Raiding or sparking conflicts as a member within any community, in the pact or not, is strictly prohibited and can get that member removed from the agreement until it has been corrected.

Article 2- Your community cannot join the agreement if one of the 4 exceptions listed in Article 5 applies to it.

Article 3- At least 1 owner in a community must agree on joining the agreement. If the other owner(s) do a back and forth fight on if they can join or not they will not be allowed in until a agreement is settled in a democratic way.

*Article 4- The members of the agreement must include a representative system of administration in their respective communities. As long as one member of the administration has been elected representing its members it will be considered valid.

*Article 5- If you have a community and you want to advertise it on a community in the GCA agreement, you are not allowed to do so unless:

• *You have less than 40 members and at least 1 post a day (not including the staff or alts.
• You are a temporary map game/contest community
• You are a temporary meme/shitposting community
• You are a community made for a different community (Ex- Election  G+’s).

*Article 6- Each member community can have its own rules, but they cannot oppose the Universal Set of Rules (TMU´s Rules, based on TMC´s Rules) which is obligatory for joining. Changed in the set of rules of each community must be notified to the rest of the members.

- Once your signature has been added to the post all the rules above apply to you and your community (Yes, even the advertisement one).

- Once you join put a link to the community in the description of your group and label it appropriately.

- All applications must be approved by a TMU or MV owner or someone in *official representation of them.

ELM

The Mappers University of Arts was attacked and spammed by trolls on September 26, 2017. This caused the administration to wake up that trolls could easily raid the whole community. So BlueCon Mapping set up the ELM system. ELM stands for Emergency Level Measurement. ELM is on a scale of 1 to 5 with ELM-5 being normal and ELM-1 being complete shutdown. The MV has only gone to ELM-2 which had the MUA not let anyone join and restrict activity. The MV was at ELM 5 before being deleted.

Elections

Mapperverse elections happened every 2 months. Mappers make a party and then which ever party gets the most votes has the leader become a moderator, unfortunately letting any user make a party was very unorganized, so a 3 party system was established. The Left Wing Part, Centrist Party, and Right Wing Party would elect leaders who would run for them. On November 17, 2017, Persian Mapper established the Mapperverse Electoral Collage, to make elections more like that of the USA.
