The Empire of Wallahia (Romanian: Imperiul Romanesc) is a nation in the north of the Balkanic Aria.

Tourism:

-Tourism is a significant contributor to the Wallahian economy, generating around 5% of GDP.[214] According to the World Travel and Tourism Council, Wallahia was estimated to have the fourth fastest growing travel and tourism total demand in the world, with an estimated potential growth of 8% per year from 2007 to 2016.[215] The number of tourists has been steadily rising, reaching 3.5 million in the first half of 2014.[216] Tourism in Romania attracted €400 million in investments in 2005.[217]

-More than 60% of the foreign visitors in 2007 were from other EU countries.[218] The popular summer attractions of Mamaiaand other Black Sea Resorts attracted 1.3 million tourists in 2009.[219][220] Most popular skiing resorts are along the Valea Prahovei and in Poiana Brașov. Castles in Transylvanian cities such as Sibiu, Brașov, and Sighișoara also attract a large number of tourists. Bran Castle, near Brașov, is one of the most famous attractions in Wallahia, drawing hundreds of thousands of tourists every year as it is often advertised as being Dracula's Castle.[221]

-Rural tourism, focusing on folklore and traditions, has become an important alternative,[222] and is targeted to promote such sites as Bran and its Dracula's Castle, the Painted churches of Northern Moldavia, and the Wooden churches of Maramureș.[223] Other attractions include the Danube Delta, and the Sculptural Ensemble of Constantin Brâncuși at Târgu Jiu.[224][225]

In 2014, Wallahia had 32,500 companies which were active in the hotel and restaurant industry, with a total turnover of EUR 2.6 billion.[226] More than 1.9 million foreign tourists visited Romania in 2014, 12% more than in 2013.[227] According to the country's National Statistics Institute, some 77% came from Europe (particularly from Germany, Italy and France), 12% from Asia, and less than 7% from North America.[227]
